Samuel Wynant obtained a Master’s degree in Law from KU Leuven in 2008, following his undergraduate studies at K.U. Brussel in 2005. He subsequently pursued further specialisation with a Master’s degree in Notarial Law from Ghent University in 2009 and a Master’s degree in Company Law from KU Leuven in 2017.
His professional career began in September 2009 at Van Halteren Notaries. Within the firm, he progressed steadily: after working as a trainee and notarial legal adviser, he became a candidate civil law notary in June 2013 and was appointed as a civil law notary in January 2016.
Alongside his practice, Samuel is strongly engaged in academic and editorial activities. As a member of the core editorial board of the Notarieel en Fiscaal Maandblad, published by Wolters Kluwer, he closely follows current legal developments. He also regularly publishes on real estate law and is a frequently invited speaker in this field.
He also actively shares his expertise within the Royal Federation of Belgian Notaries (Fednot). There, he teaches property law, contributes to the organisation of study days, and participates in specialised working groups focusing on co-ownership law and the new law on specific contracts.
