Matthieu Derynck holds a Master’s degree in Law (1989) and a Master’s degree in Notarial Law (1990).
After completing his traineeship and beginning his career at the Van Halteren notary firm, he passed the competitive examination for candidate civil law notaries in 2001. In 2002, he joined Thierry Van Halteren and Damien Hisette as an associated civil law notary, before succeeding notary Guy Sorgeloos in 2004.
Matthieu Derynck is a highly experienced all-round civil law notary with particular expertise in family property law and the related tax matters.
In addition, Matthieu Derynck is actively involved as a member of the Accounting Committee of the Brussels-Capital Association of Notaries and as a traineeship coach.
